Amazon Pay UPI is becoming increasingly popular due to various cashback offers it provides for transacting and paying via Amazon Pay UPI on Amazon and other websites that accept UPI payments.
UPI or Unified Payments Interface is created by National Payments Corporation of India. It allows anyone with a bank account to send and receive funds without knowing the bank account number and IFSC code. You just have to create a VPA or Virtual Payment Address that will be linked to your bank account.
Amazon Pay UPI ID: Steps to register
Step 1
First of all open your Amazon App and go to Amazon Pay, it will open Amazon Pay dashboard. If you don’t have Amazon App then download here.

Then look for Amazon Pay UPI option and tap on it.

Then you will see a screen, now click on proceed button.

Now Amazon will ask you to send an SMS from your registered mobile number in Amazon App for verification and the same number should be registered in your bank account.
Step 5
Once the mobile number is verified there will be a list of all banks and you will have to choose your bank account to link with Amazon App. In my case, I already had an Amazon Pay UPI ID so I did not have to create a UPI PIN but you will have to. After choosing your bank Amazon will verify your bank account and your Amazon UPI ID will be created. Once this is done, click on Continue. Your Amazon Pay UPI ID is created!
